How is that possible? The VISIA skin scan machine uses advanced algorithms and a combination of cross-polarized and UV lighting to capture a highly detailed image of your skin. This imaging—combined with powerful analytics—allows VISIA to measure eight key skin health metrics: surface spots (red and brown pigmentation), wrinkles, texture, pore size, UV damage, brown spots beneath the surface, red areas (like inflammation or broken capillaries), and porphyrins. Porphyrins are natural compounds made by bacteria that collect in clogged pores like blackheads and whiteheads and can contribute to acne and redness.
